Welcome Note - 2021 Summer School announcement
Bergamo, September 08-10, 2021
Dear colleagues and friends
it is our great pleasure to invite you to the XXVI edition of the Summer School “Francesco Turco”, which will be held next September 08–10, 2021, and organized by the CELS research group at the University of Bergamo (Italy) in collaboration with the RISE Lab at the University of Brescia (Italy).
In the wake of the traditional setting that has characterized previous editions, the School’s program will hinge around the scientific sessions where researchers can present their scientific works, and discussant can provide their constructive feedback.
In consideration of the uncertain and fast-evolving factors characterizing today’s social and professional life worldwide, requiring adaptation and flexibility, the main theme of this edition will be
INDUSTRIAL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AMID
CHANGE AND UNCERTAINTY IN THE NEXT NORMAL
The XXVI Summer School F. Turco will be carried out in a form that will be appropriate with the restrictions and precautions from the current pandemic.
The Organizing Committee is planning the activities adopting two contingency models: a fully-online experience, in the very likely case that physical meetings are not allowed; a traditional meeting to be held in Bergamo in safe, responsibly spaced facilities.
A decision about the event format and participation options will be announced by April 2021. We will keep the Summer School website updated. Meanwhile, we encourage you to continue your plans to write and submit your work so that you can make your contribution to XXVI Summer School F. Turco!
We look forward to meeting you at the 2021 Summer School!
