Welcome Note - Update
Bergamo, September 09-11, 2020
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
it is our great pleasure and honour to host the XXV edition of the AIDI Summer School Francesco Turco 2020.
After the successful 2019 edition held in Brescia, jointly organized by the University of Brescia and the University of Bergamo, the 2020 edition was planned to be held in Bergamo (Italy), on September 09-11, 2020. However, due to the current situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition will be moved online in the same dates.
We will have to change the traditional schedule of the summer school, foregoing all the social events in the name of social distancing and safety. However, in the spirit of the AIDI Summer Schools, we aim at providing a welcoming virtual environment to all researchers coming from different universities, to promote interaction and cooperation, and enhancing the sense of belonging to the scientific community of ING-IND/17 (Industrial Systems Engineering).
The School’s program will hinge around the scientific sessions where researchers can present their scientific work, and discussant can provide their constructive feedback. The main topic of the 2020 edition will be “EDUCATION FOR THE FUTURE - Challenges and opportunities from the digital world”. In fact, as the industrial, economic, and social worlds progress towards a higher level of technology pervasiveness, new competencies, skills, and mindsets are required to both academic and practitioners.
We look forward to virtually meeting you at the 2020 Summer School F. Turco!
